Isn't this just the cutest??

little container that you have ever seen?  OK, maybe not THE cutest, but pretty darn close!  I purchased this awesome tutorial from Becky Roberts over at www.inkingidaho.blogspot.com  .  I also purchased quite a few other tutorials from her that I can't wait to sit down and play with!!

I used Close to my Heart's "Topstitch" papers and the sweet little birdie is from the stamp set "Love You Forever".  It is hard to tell from the picture, but each of the little birdies has a Bitty Sparkle for it's eye.  I also used Heavenly Blue and Chocolate ribbons, each from a ribbon round collection.

For the circles and scalloped circle, I used SU!'s scalloped punch, 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 inch circle punches.  OH and since I did not have the punch that Becky used for her handle, I used my paper trimmer and trimmed out a piece for the handle.

This really was a lot of fun to make!!  I think that the next one that I make I will do a little random stamping on the milk cartons and on the part of the holder that shows.  Now to decide which papers and stamps to use!  Oh the possibilities!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

I hope that I have inspired you to check out this SUPER CUTE little Milk Carton and Holder tutorial over at Inking Idaho.....or to make one on your own!!  I would, if I could, but I can't, so I purchased the tutorial!  LOL

Sweet Paper Sack Purse....

I PLAYED today!!  WOO HOO!!  I have been trying ALL week to get out my stuff and just PLAY....not really have anything that NEEDS to be done.  But something that I WANT to do.  So, this is what I have found while browsing through a few new blogs.

Now, I have made a paper sack into a decorated bag with ribbon handles before.....BUT I had never seen anything as sweet as this little Paper Lunch Sack Purse that Becky Roberts over at Inking Idaho  made.  So, of course, I knew instantly that I had to create one using CTMH products!  If you click on the Inking Idaho link above, it will take you to the page where her instructions for this sweet little purse is.....

Here is what I came up with.....

I used Topstitch papers, the stamp set Charmed, a Sparkle and Chocolate ribbon from the Chocolate Ribbon Round collection.  I inked everything in Chocolate Ink and stamped the flower in Baby Pink ink.

Here are the side and back views of the sack/purse.  I think that backside looks just as cute as the front!

Well, this post is gonna be a short but sweet post.....I am off to make dinner for the fam.  Wonder what there is to pull out and thaw.  HHMMM

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope that I have inspired you to get out those paper lunch sacks that you bought for some other paper project that you have not gotten around to making....LOL  not that you have done that or anything.....not that I have done that or anything.....OH and make one of these sweet little purses.

If you do make one and you think to take a picture of it and post it somewhere......link it to me!  I would LOVE to see what you all come up with!

March Swap Card ALMOST Complete!!

I say ALMOST because I still need to create 9 more of these cards.  I have everything cut and ready to be inked and adhered.  Well, I HAD everything ready until I come into my "play" space and see 4 of the flowers that I am going to use, on the floor with some of the petals NEXT to them.  NOT good!  I do have extra's that I can use so I am not too worried about it.  BUT I am not sure how they got on the floor in the first place, let alone how my sweet Sadie ate them without me noticing.  UUGGGHHH

Well, this is what I came up with on Saturday after my 18 page workshop that Kim held for her friends.  I actually had MOST of it together Saturday night.....I just had to put a few of the finishing details on it today.

The papers are from the CTMH paper pack Caboodle.  The stamp sets that I used are all CTMH, Welcome Baby, Childhood and Circle Around.  When the Welcome Baby stamp set came out, it was one of the first sets that i ordered from that Idea Book.  But, once I got it home and got it out to play with I had a really hard time figuring out what to do with it.  I thought I would pull it out again to see if I could create something to go on this card as I think these are the perfect colors for this set......to me!

I pulled out this circle template thingy that I bought for stitching or embellishment placement and used it for the paper piercing around the flower.  There is also prisma glitter on the dots going around the stamped saying from Childhood.  The ribbon is from the Sorbet Ribbon Round collection.

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope that I have inspired you to get out one of those stamp sets that you just HAD to have but did not know what to do with once you got it......OR maybe I am the only one who does that!  LOL

My "Play" Space

I am NOT the most organized person on the planet......I know, such a shock to those who know me!  LOL  I really do try to get organized but I never really STAY organized.  I especially find it hard to organize and keep organized in my scrap room.  I am always looking for bins, containers, shelves and such to store all my "stuff" in.

SOOOO one day as I was searching the internet for scrapbook organizing tools I ran across this website that made cabinets specifically for the scrapbooker in mind.  I bookmarked the website and went back often to see if it really was something that would work for me.  After sitting on it for about 6 months I showed it to my hubby to see what he thought.  He LOVED it and we purchased it that night!

Putting together The Original Scrapbox was NOT the easiest thing to do.  My hubby and I spent the better part of a day working on putting it together.  But I am telling you, it is the BEST purchase I have made yet for organizing all of my "stuff".  Not only do I have all of my things neatly stored in containers, they are all in the same area of the room.  Imagine that!  LOL

My "Play" space is still a work in progress.  I would like to eventually have a few cupboards put up over my workspace..... and maybe a few decorative items up on the walls.  But I like it for now!  It is a nice space to come into and just "play".

So now you have seen where I love to spend time.....

Thanks for stopping by.....

Hope that I have inspired you to check out The Original Scrapbox, or maybe just organize your space!
