Bad Blogger, Bad Blogger!

I know, I know, I am such a BAD blogger!!  I don't know why it feels SO much harder to post here, than it does to my Facebook Page??!!  Maybe that's because I can post directly from my phone to my Facebook page and when I post here, I have to actually turn my computer on, sign into my blog, upload my photos from my phone and edit them, ALL before being able to post here.  I am SO SO lazy!!  LOL

SO here's the deal.  I am going to make MORE of an effort to come on here at LEAST once a week to check in and let you all know that I AM still papercrafting.  NO more excuses for this girl!!  Having said that, make sure you still go to my Facebook Page Jen's Scrappy Pages to check out the stuff that I post there that doesn't make it on my blog.

I had SO much fun playing along with this week's sketch over at the Mojo Monday Sketch blog!!  I even pulled out my Kaleidoscope paper pack to use, well, because it is retiring at the end of the month and I need to make room for the AMAZING NEW products that are coming out August 1st!!  OH MY GOODNESS!!!  I am SO extremely pumped about the new Annual Inspirations catalog, I can hardly contain myself!!  OOPS....got off track a bit.

Back to the card.  The flowers I used are from the retiring (July 31st) CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge.  I painted them using Close to my Heart's watercolor paints and edged them with Pixie and Canary Inks to give them added dimension.  The sentiment is from the soon to be retiring (August 31st) Hello Sunshine.

Make sure to click on the up close photo of the flowers.  I used 2 different techniques and it is hard to really see it in the photos unless you zoom in on them.  For the pink flower, I used the plastic wrap technique where you paint on the watercolor paper and put plastic wrap on top till it is either almost dry or completely dry.  It give it a pretty cool texture.  The yellow flower kind of has a "brushed" look to it.  I used a drier brush to apply the paint, then went over it with the top edge of the brush to purposefully leave brush marks in the paint.  After both flowers were completely dry, I sponged on a coordinating ink to give it more dimension.

That's about it for today!!  I PROMISE I will be back in a few days to share more stuff with ya!!  Again, make sure to "like" my Facebook Page if you would like to be notified when I add stuff there too!!

OH one more thing... Have you seen the consultant sign up special for the month of July???  It is SO SO STINKING AWESOME!!  If I wasn't already a consultant for this AMAZING company, I would TOTALLY join!!  LOL  Please see ALL the details for this offer here...

Want a sneak peek of the NEW, not yet released products??  Join CTMH this month and you will get your choice of one of the Fundamental Bundles featured in the Early Bird Sign-Up Special!!

Thanks SO VERY much for stopping by!!

Hope this inspired you to get out your watercolor paints and give these techniques a try!!  I have had SO much fun playing with paint lately...who knew it could be this fun!!??

Happy Scrapping and Stamping!!

Jen
