I have been missing in action because.....

I have been busy creating this Acrylic Album for a good friend of mine that had a baby girl in December. I am going to her baby shower tomorrow and just decided on Wednesday to make this for her. I really hope that she likes it. She knows that I scrapbook and loves to go through my albums and such, but she does not scrapbook for herself. I tried to make the album easy for her to be able to add her pictures to it, so I did not do too many different sized photo mats. The only thing I could NOT resist adding to the album was the big scalloped circles that look like flowers. I guess that she does not have add photos to those, she could just leave them alone.

ANYHOO.....on to the album. I created this using CTMH's My Creations Acrylic Album and My Reflections Daydream paper pack. I kind of used a hodge podge of accents, but all are CTMH and are current if you would like to order any! If you like this but it is too girly for you, check out Vicki's version using the My Reflections Stardust paper pack! She even has super cute black and white photos of her son on hers!!

Front cover....

Pages 1 and 2.....

Pages 1 and 2 still, with the divider moved over to page 1.......

Pages 3 and 4......

Pages 5 and 6.......

Pages 5 and 6 with the divider moved over to page 5.....I thought that if she wanted, she could add a photo to this, or she could keep it just plain.

Pages 7 and 8 The "flower" on this page is a large Nestabilities scalloped circle with a regular Nestabilities circle inside.......

Pages 7 and 8 again with the flower flipped over to the other side.

And finally, the back of the album. I did not do anything with the back, just stuck a piece of paper on it and a scalloped circle. I did not think it needed much more!

Am I forgiven for not posting for 2 days?? I thought maybe this would make up for it! If you really like this album and want to make one for yourself, leave a comment in this post and I will e-mail you the cutting dimensions and photos of the album in a word doc. If you want to re-create this using the same papers and album, you can order the supplies from my CTMH website and have them shipped directly to you!

Posting 2 Days in a Row......WOW I am on a Roll!!

And I even have my laundry done!! I am trying my follow the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge the best that I can! But it is proving to be a little harder than I thought to create 9 different cards! Since I don't think that I will be able to create 7 more cards before tomorrow night for the BIG drawing, I would still like to challenge myself to make a card for each of the sketch's.

This sketch that I followed today came from Jami Sibley. Check out the card that she created for this sketch, it is super cute! I REALLY like the way this sketch is layed out and LOVE the way my card turned out! Here is the sketch:

Here is my card using Close to my Heart's Free Spirit papers and matching My Reflections Stickease. For my sentiment I used a past Stamp of the Month called Say it in Style. I really love this stamp set for it's versitility in sentiments!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed that CTMH will bring the set back to purchase in the Idea Books......

This card was actually one of the easiest yet! When I purchase CTMH's paper packs, I almost always purchase the My Reflections Stickease that match. The problem is I don't always use the stickease on my projects. So, I thought I would actually use them for this challenge. Kind of like a double challenge for me today! LOL

The flourish that I used is one of the stickers that come with the matching stickease assortment. I stuck the flourish onto a piece of Cocoa CS and cut around the flourish leaving a small border. The piece with the stitching is also a sticker, cut to size and distressed with Cocoa ink. The Pewter Designer Brads at the bottom of the card are new to the Spring Idea Book and are super cool!!

All supplies are CTMH:
Stamp: Say it in Style
Paper: Free Spirit
Embellishments: Free Spirit My Stickease, Pewter Designer Brads, Cocoa Ribbon
Other non-ctmh: Nestabilities Circles, SU! scalloped punch

I hope that you have found inspiration in my card today! Get those stickers out and put them on your cards! I know I will be using more!!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope to see you back again!

InStyle Stamps Method Monday Challenge

Yesterday, InStyle Stamps DT member Maria, posted this AWESOME tutorial on how to make a Square Coat Card! I really LOVE the way this card turned out and the tutorial was super easy to follow! If you would like to play along with this challenge, all you need to do is make a Square Coat Card and post a link to your creation on the InStyle Stamps blog under the Method Monday post. We would love to have you play along and see what you come up with!

Here is my take on the Square Coat Card using Roxy from InStyle Stamps and Good Times paper from CTMH.

This is the card with the ribbon untied to show the card front.....

And finally the card opens up to write your message!

Roxy's shirt is paper pieced using the striped paper from Good Times. The pants are paper pieced using Twilight CS and distressing them with sand paper for a washed denim look. I colored her hair with a brown PrismaColor pencil and used Gamsol to blend the pencil marks. The earings are Twilight Brads.

Supplies used are:

Stamp: Roxy, InStyle Stamps
Paper: CTMH Good Times
Embellishments: Love Letters Chocolate Rub-Ons, Chocolate Mini Medley bigger brads, Twilight Brads and Twill Ribbon
Corner rounder and Nestabilities circles

I hope that I have inspired you to give this awesome tutorial a try!

Thanks for stopping by!! Please stop back again soon!
