Carousel Birthday Watercolor Card

Carousel Birthday Watercolor Card

Dimensions:
Night of Navy CS - 4 1/4 x 11 (score at 4 1/4 for card base)
Very Vanilla Thick CS - 4 x 5 1/4, 3 1/2 x 3 1/2, scrap for stamping
Watercolor Paper - 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, scrap for clouds

Hey Guys!!  Today's project uses the Carousel Birthday and Lift Me Up stamp sets along with the Up & Away Framelits dies.  I just LOVE LOVE LOVE these stamp sets together!!  The Carousel Birthday stamp set is retiring and will be guaranteed available until May 22nd.  After that, it will be available while supplies last.  SO if you love this as much as I do, make sure to get it before it is gone forever!!  The Lift Me Up stamp set and Up & Away Framelits will be carrying over into the new catalog!!  YAY!!

For the background on my card, I used Watercolor Paper, Lemon Lime Twist and Night of Navy inks.  I just sponged the inks on, using a handmade template, then spritzed it with water and dabbed off the excess water with another sponge.  A piece of paper towel would also work for this.  I stamped on the tents in the background using a second generation ink.  The clouds were inked and spritzed similar to the background, I then brushed on some Clear Wink of Stella to make them shimmer!!  Gotta have my shimmer!!   I hand cut the Ferris Wheel and popped it up using Stampin' Dimensionals and used the dies in the Up  Away Framelits to cut out the little This card was actually pretty simple, in theory, to make.  Just a bit time consuming to cut everything out with the Big Shot.

If you were unable to make it to my Facebook Live last night, that's OK!!  I have the video up and ready to go!  It LOOKS like it is a lengthy video, but the actual project didn't take too long.  Towards the end of it, it's just chatter!  lol

I have tried to provide the dimensions for each of the cards above.  The first card is the one that we created on FB Live.  I will try to create a video on how to create the star quilts and post it here when it is finished.  There are LOTS of pieces for those two cards!  LOL

I used the Sunshine Sayings stamp set and Sunshine Wishes Dies on each of the cards.  To give it a "quilted" look, I used the Hexagons Embossing Folder.  LOVE how it gives a puffy quilted look!!  The paper is from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack.  LOVE LOVE LOVE these papers!!  Especially the tiny flowers print!!  Perfect for a "quilted" look.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions!!  I'd be happy to help!

March Paper Pumpkin Alternate Project - Card

March Paper Pumpkin Alternate Project

Dimensions:
Very Vanilla CS - 4 1/4 x 11 (score at 4 1/4), 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 (circle)
Peekaboo Peach CS - 4 x 4
Sweet Sugarplum CS - 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 (scalloped circle)

These were SUPER fun cards to create with the March Paper Pumpkin Kit, as an alternative project.  I just LOVE how the bunny ended up looking like a lion/kitty when I left off the bunny ears and used the mouth with the heart shaped nose.  The scalloped circle ended up looking like a lion's mane.

I used the large bunny ears as petals and the Hexagons Embossing folder made it look like it was quilted.  The first one I created was the Peekaboo Peach card, but when I was creating the Sweet Sugarplum card, I thought I would see what embossing it would look like and ended up LOVING it!!

Jar of Love Shaker Card

Dimensions:
Thick Whisper White CS - 4 1/4 x 8 1/2, 3 x 8 1/2 (two for squares), scrap for fish
So Saffron CS - 3 1/4 square
Pool Party CS - 2 1/2 square
So Saffron DSP - 4 1/4 square
Pool Party DSP - 4 x 4 square
Window Sheet - 2 3/8 square

This is my very FIRST shaker card!!  YAY ME!!  For some reason, I have been afraid to make one of these, but decided to go ahead and take the plunge and make one!!  Now that I have made one, I will be making LOTS more!  lol

I just love the little fishes from the Jar of Love stamp set and Everyday Jars Framelits.  They are SO cute!  Lately, I just can't get enough of the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack.  I used So Saffron and Pool Party DSP for this card.  I created the frame by using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and the Layering Squares Framelits Dies.  To see how I created the frame for my shaker card, make sure to watch the video!!  It's a bit long, BUT I promise it will be well worth the time it takes to watch it!

Avant Garden - Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 488

Avant - Garden
Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 488

Dimensions:
Crumb Cake CS - 4 1/4 x 11 (score at 5 1/2)
Whisper White CS - 4 x 5 1/4, 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 (large oval), 1 1/2 x 4 3/4 (tear top and bottom of strip)
Peekaboo Peach CS - 3 3/4 x 5
Pool Party CS - 3 x 4 (large scalloped oval)

Hey Guys!!  Today's project is the simple, yet sweet card that I created using the Avant - Garden stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog and is FREE with a $50 purchase only till March 31st.  SO if you want it, you only have a couple of weeks left to get it!!

I really like the soft colors of the Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Whisper White together.  Originally, I chose these colors for this card because I was going to use the Cool Treats DSP, but decided to just use cardstock instead of the DSP.  The Clear Wink of Stella gave a soft shimmer to the flower and completed the card!!

The Falling Petals embossing folder is quickly becoming one my fav folders to use for my cards.  I just love the added texture it gives.  Of course the Layering Ovals Framelits are also one of my favs to use on my cards and was PERFECT for this card sketch, even though the sketch was shown with a rectangle for the image piece.

Sending Love DSP - 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 (you need 4)
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper - 2 3/4 x 2 3/4

Pool Party CS with Pool Party Designer Series Paper Stack

Blushing Bride CS with Blushing Bride Designer Series Paper Stack

OH MY GOODNESS!!  I just LOVE the way this card turned out!!  I loved it SO much, I created it using several different colors/papers.  The original card idea came from the ever so creative Karen Pedersen with CTMH.  I changed up the papers, added some ribbon and a Thinking of You sentiment from the Window Shopping stamp set.  I mentioned it was from the Sunshine Sayings set in my video, but it is not!

I just keep coming up with ways to use the Succulent Framelits on my cards.  This is certainly becoming one of my favorite go to die sets!  The first card and the one I demonstrate in my video is created using the Sending Love DSP from the Occasions catalog.  I wanted to find a way to use this paper without making it a Valentine's Day card and I think I succeeded with this one.  The other two cards use the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stacks.  LOVE these paper stacks!!  The come in 12x12 stacks with 4 different prints of 10 different colors.

Up & Away Tea Bag Holder

Up & Away Tea Bag Holder

Dimensions:
Night of Navy CS - 3 x 11, 3 x 4
Whisper White CS - 2 3/4 x 2 3/4
Carried Away DSP - 3 x 3 3/4, 3 x 1 3/4, 3 x 1 1/4, 3 x 1
Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper - 2 3/4 x 2 3/4

Isn't this just the CUTEST little Tea Bag Holder ever??!!  I was browsing Pinterest for a 3-D project and ran across the tutorial for this over on the Pootles Papercraft website.  I absolutely fell in love with it and decided it would be for today's project!!

The original tutorial for the envelopes that hold the tea bags used the Envelope Punch Board, but I don't have it.  I did however have the Gift Box Punch Board and noticed that it had the same punch.  SO with a little creative measuring, I was able to use Gift Box Punch Board!!  YAY ME!!  LOL  I used the Carried Away DSP in the SAB catalog along with the Lift Me Up stamp set and Up & Away Thinlits Dies.  LOVE LOVE LOVE this set!!!  When you purchase the Lift Me Up bundle, you are under $5 away from earning a FREE Sale-A-Bration item, which can be used to get either the Carried Away DSP OR the Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack where the Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper comes from.

The video is a bit lengthy, BUT I promise you, it is well worth the time to watch it!!  Make sure to "SUBSCRIBE" to my YouTube channel to receive notifications when I post new videos as I am adding 4-5 new videos each week!!  In addition to the video tutorial I made, I also have printable/downloadable instructions below the Supplies Used. Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper - Scrap for dragonflies

Hey Everyone!!  This is the card I created for my very first Facebook Live!!  Although I only had a few who tuned in AND I was a tad nervous, I am pleased with the way it turned out!!  In fact, I actually had fun doing it!!  SO I plan on going LIVE every Wednesday evening at 7pm CST.  Make sure to mark your calendars for next Wednesday, March 15th to see the project I have planned.

This FB Live coincided with my sketch challenge that I hold over on my FB Page Jen's Scrappy Pages every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.  I used the Paper & Ink Sketch Challenge #16 this week.  This was actually a super simple sketch and I just LOVE the way it turned out!!  I did change up my dimensions, which are noted under the card that I created to go along with it.  After creating my sketch card, I decided to create 2 more using the same papers and technique, which I have included the dimensions for under each card.

I created this card using the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and Detailed Dragonfly thinlits. For the dragonfly, I cut it out using Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and colored it using an Aqua Painter with Watermelon Wonder and So Saffron. The center of the dragonfly was colored using a Basic Black Stampin' Write marker. Background was colored using the Daffodil Delight Watercolor pencil, then stamped using the background stamp in the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set. I sponged the ink where I wanted it, then stamped off for a second generation look to soften the dots.

Whisper White CS - 4  5 1/4, 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 (window box die/large circle die)
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper - 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 (large circle)

OH MY GOODNESS!!  Isn't this card GORGEOUS??!!  I just LOVE the way it turned out and it was SO SUPER simple to put together!!  I just sponged Blushing Bride and So Saffron ink onto the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and cut out the Window Box Die along with a Layering Circles Die to create the main image.  The Delicate White Doily was colored using a sponge again, in Blushing Bride ink.  EASY PEASY!!

I have some GREAT NEWS!!  I am going LIVE tomorrow night over on my FB Page Jen's Scrappy Pages!!  I am SO nervous, yet SO excited to go live!  I have another project planned using the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper AND the Detailed Dragonfly Framelits Dies.  It is one of my favorite cards this far.  Make sure to tune in on Wednesday, March 8th at 7pm CST to find out what the project is!  Hope to see you there...
