Carousel Birthday Watercolor Card

Carousel Birthday Watercolor Card

Dimensions:
Night of Navy CS - 4 1/4 x 11 (score at 4 1/4 for card base)
Very Vanilla Thick CS - 4 x 5 1/4, 3 1/2 x 3 1/2, scrap for stamping
Watercolor Paper - 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, scrap for clouds

Hey Guys!!  Today's project uses the Carousel Birthday and Lift Me Up stamp sets along with the Up & Away Framelits dies.  I just LOVE LOVE LOVE these stamp sets together!!  The Carousel Birthday stamp set is retiring and will be guaranteed available until May 22nd.  After that, it will be available while supplies last.  SO if you love this as much as I do, make sure to get it before it is gone forever!!  The Lift Me Up stamp set and Up & Away Framelits will be carrying over into the new catalog!!  YAY!!

For the background on my card, I used Watercolor Paper, Lemon Lime Twist and Night of Navy inks.  I just sponged the inks on, using a handmade template, then spritzed it with water and dabbed off the excess water with another sponge.  A piece of paper towel would also work for this.  I stamped on the tents in the background using a second generation ink.  The clouds were inked and spritzed similar to the background, I then brushed on some Clear Wink of Stella to make them shimmer!!  Gotta have my shimmer!!   I hand cut the Ferris Wheel and popped it up using Stampin' Dimensionals and used the dies in the Up  Away Framelits to cut out the little This card was actually pretty simple, in theory, to make.  Just a bit time consuming to cut everything out with the Big Shot.

March Paper Pumpkin Alternate Project - Card

March Paper Pumpkin Alternate Project

Dimensions:
Very Vanilla CS - 4 1/4 x 11 (score at 4 1/4), 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 (circle)
Peekaboo Peach CS - 4 x 4
Sweet Sugarplum CS - 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 (scalloped circle)

These were SUPER fun cards to create with the March Paper Pumpkin Kit, as an alternative project.  I just LOVE how the bunny ended up looking like a lion/kitty when I left off the bunny ears and used the mouth with the heart shaped nose.  The scalloped circle ended up looking like a lion's mane.

I used the large bunny ears as petals and the Hexagons Embossing folder made it look like it was quilted.  The first one I created was the Peekaboo Peach card, but when I was creating the Sweet Sugarplum card, I thought I would see what embossing it would look like and ended up LOVING it!!

Jar of Love Shaker Card

Dimensions:
Thick Whisper White CS - 4 1/4 x 8 1/2, 3 x 8 1/2 (two for squares), scrap for fish
So Saffron CS - 3 1/4 square
Pool Party CS - 2 1/2 square
So Saffron DSP - 4 1/4 square
Pool Party DSP - 4 x 4 square
Window Sheet - 2 3/8 square

This is my very FIRST shaker card!!  YAY ME!!  For some reason, I have been afraid to make one of these, but decided to go ahead and take the plunge and make one!!  Now that I have made one, I will be making LOTS more!  lol

I just love the little fishes from the Jar of Love stamp set and Everyday Jars Framelits.  They are SO cute!  Lately, I just can't get enough of the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack.  I used So Saffron and Pool Party DSP for this card.  I created the frame by using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and the Layering Squares Framelits Dies.  To see how I created the frame for my shaker card, make sure to watch the video!!  It's a bit long, BUT I promise it will be well worth the time it takes to watch it!

FB Live Pretty Kitty Purse

FB Live Pretty Kitty Purse

Dimensions:
Whisper White CS - 7 x 10
Blushing Bride CS - 2 1/4 x 2 1/4
Shimmery White CS - 2 1/4 x 2 1/4
Subtles Designer Series Paper, Blushing Bride - 2 1/2 x 5 1/2, 2 1/2 x 2 3/4

For complete instructions on how to create this purse using the Gift Bag Punch Board, please watch the video below.

Isn't this just the sweetest little purse?  Of course, I think that the little kitty from the Pretty Kitty stamp set makes it that much cuter!!  I ran across a tutorial on Pinterest to create this bag, but it was for a backpack.  SO I added some Blushing Bride Stitched Satin Ribbon at the top to create a little purse, instead of making it into a backpack (which was cute too!).

Did you know that Stampin' Up! carries this sweet little print in their Designer Series Paper Stacks?  I just LOVE these paper stacks and LOVE that they come in ALL of the colors that SU! has.  The are SO versatile and the prints are perfect for cards and 3D projects too.

I used the Gift Bag Punch Board to create this little cutie!!  When I was searching Pinterest for inspiration, I searched specifically for something that used the Gift Bag Punch Board, but that used it in a different way from how it was created to be used.  I cannot remember where I found the tutorial for the original backpack, but if you search Pinterest, I am sure you will find it!!

Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper - Scrap for dragonflies

Hey Everyone!!  This is the card I created for my very first Facebook Live!!  Although I only had a few who tuned in AND I was a tad nervous, I am pleased with the way it turned out!!  In fact, I actually had fun doing it!!  SO I plan on going LIVE every Wednesday evening at 7pm CST.  Make sure to mark your calendars for next Wednesday, March 15th to see the project I have planned.

This FB Live coincided with my sketch challenge that I hold over on my FB Page Jen's Scrappy Pages every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.  I used the Paper & Ink Sketch Challenge #16 this week.  This was actually a super simple sketch and I just LOVE the way it turned out!!  I did change up my dimensions, which are noted under the card that I created to go along with it.  After creating my sketch card, I decided to create 2 more using the same papers and technique, which I have included the dimensions for under each card.

I created this card using the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and Detailed Dragonfly thinlits. For the dragonfly, I cut it out using Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and colored it using an Aqua Painter with Watermelon Wonder and So Saffron. The center of the dragonfly was colored using a Basic Black Stampin' Write marker. Background was colored using the Daffodil Delight Watercolor pencil, then stamped using the background stamp in the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set. I sponged the ink where I wanted it, then stamped off for a second generation look to soften the dots.

Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper - 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 (large circle)

OH MY GOODNESS!!  Isn't this card GORGEOUS??!!  I just LOVE the way it turned out and it was SO SUPER simple to put together!!  I just sponged Blushing Bride and So Saffron ink onto the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and cut out the Window Box Die along with a Layering Circles Die to create the main image.  The Delicate White Doily was colored using a sponge again, in Blushing Bride ink.  EASY PEASY!!

Frozen Treats Ghirardelli Chocolate Holder

Frozen Treats Ghirardelli Chocolate Holder

Inside perfectly fits 2 Ghirardelli Chocolate squares
OR 2 bags of tea

Hey All!!  Hope you have had a WONDERFUL week so far!!  Today's project is a SUPER CUTE Ghirardelli Chocolate square holder.  I ran across this on You Tube while searching for tea bag holders, then scrapped the whole tea thing when I found it!  LOL  Who doesn't love chocolate?

This little "book" is 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" in size.  Small enough to throw in the mail for someone's birthday, or just because you want to send them some chocolate!!  It would also make a GREAT Valentine's day treat holder for the kiddos to take to school, just by changing up the papers and stamps.

For this project, I used the Tasty Treats DSP and Frozen Treats Framelits Dies that are featured in the Occasions catalog.  LOVE LOVE LOVE this suite!!  The stamp set that coordinates with the papers and dies is SUPER CUTE too!  It was one of the first things I ordered when the Occasions catalog was released!

Hedgehog Love

Hedgehog Love

Card Dimensions:
 Crumbcake CS - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 (score at 4 1/4), 1 x 5 1/2
Blushing Bride CS - 3 x 4 (scalloped circle), 3/8 x 5 1/2
Whisper White CS - 3 x 4 (oval)
Falling in Love DSP - 4 x 5 1/4

See the hint of shimmer on the flower?  It's Clear Wink of Stella.

Aren't these little hedgehogs the CUTEST??  This would be a GREAT Valentine's day card!  Don't you think??!!  I am just in LOVE with this stamp set!  The images are whimsical and super sweet and perfect for sending to a loved one, or a good friend.  It would bring a smile to anyone's face that received a card with this on it!!  BEST part is.... It's FREE with Hostess Rewards!!  Who doesn't love free stuff, especially stamp sets!

This card was created using the Paper & Ink Sketch #13.  I just love the soft colors from the Falling in Love DSP pack.  The piece of paper that I used for this card was cut from the top of the 12x12 piece, where the hearts were more random than the rest of the paper.

Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday, I hold a sketch challenge over on my Jen's Scrappy Pages Facebook Page.  You have a week to complete the challenge and upload it to the Sketch Challenge post.  Everyone who plays along, is entered into a drawing for a free goodie from me!  It's a lot of fun and would LOVE for you to play along!!

Enjoy this quick video showing how to create this sweet and simple card!!

Stampin' Up Supplies Used:

Don't forget there is a downloadable/printable document at the bottom of the supplies list that includes a pic of the card along with the dimensions!

Whisper White CS - 4 x 5 1/2, 3 1/2 x 3 1/2
Succulent Garden DSP - 3 3/8 x 3 3/8
(Ribbon is from the Succulent Garden 3/8" ribbon pack)

This card uses Calypso Coral.  The ribbon is from the
Cupcakes & Carousels embellishment pack.  LOVE it!!

This card uses Mint Macaron.  The ribbon is Mint Macaron
Sheer Linen.  It is SO soft!!

Hey All!!  Aren't these the sweetest cards ever??!!  I just LOVE how cheery they are!  Not to mention they were SUPER SIMPLE to put together!  I kept the sentiment the same for all 3 cards, but it could certainly be different for each one.  I love sending out Thinking of You cards.  It's always wonderful to know that someone is thinking of us, isn't it?

My video for this card show how to create the top card using Sweet Sugarplum.  It was the first card I made out of the three.  I could have created hundreds of these cards, using different colors/patterned papers!!  These would make AWESOME gifts for the card sender in your life!  Maybe make up a pack of 12, 4 of each, using different sentiments.

Enjoy the video!!  Let me know if you have any questions!!  If you would like to purchase any of the supplies to create these cards, don't forget to use January's HOSTESS CODE H44EAADX.  I give out goodies at the end of the month to those who place orders with me!!  If your order is $150 or more, let me know before you place your order.

Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:
I included supplies used on all 3 cards

Paper & Ink Sketch #11 - Plus Occasions Sneak Peek!!

Cool Treats - Sneak Peek

Happy Wednesday All!!  I am SO SO very excited about this card!!  I just LOVE the way it turned out and couldn't wait to share it with you!!  This was created using the Paper & Ink Sketch #11.

Normally, I stick to the original sketch as closely as I can.  BUT I REALLY wanted to use the NEW stamp set "Cool Treats", that will be released in the AMAZING NEW Occasions Catalog on January 4th.  SO I flipped it to make it a vertical card, instead of a horizontal card.  I kept all my measurements the same as the original sketch though.

Card Dimensions:
Whisper White CS - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 (scored at 4 1/4), 2 1/4 x 4 1/4, 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 (for the oval), scraps to stamp ice cream scoops on and cut out.
Pool Party CS - 4 x 5 1/4
Watermelon Wonder CS - 2 1/2 x 4 1/4
Peekaboo Peach CS - 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 (for scalloped oval)

This card was SUPER quick to put together!!  I embossed the Pool Party CS using the NEW Hexagons Dynamic Embossing Folder, that will also be released on the 4h of January!!  The striped accent and popsicle accent are washi tape from the Tasty Treats Designer Washi Tape collection.  Are you excited for the new releases yet??!!  I know I am!!

Tasty Trucks - You're the Sweetest!!

Tasty Trucks - You're the Sweetest!!

\
After creating the card below, I decided to change the
background of this card to an embossed background as well.
I just LOVE the dimension it gave the finished card!

Dimensions:
Basic Gray CS - 4 1/4 x 11 (scored at 5 1/2), 3 1/4 x 4, 2 1/2 x 4, 1 3/4 x 4
Bermuda Bay CS - 4 x 5 1/4
Shimmery White CS - 2 1/4 x 4, 2 1/2 x 3, 1 x 3
Daffodil Delight CS - 1 1/2 x 4

I think I am in LOVE with this little food truck!!  Isn't it just the cutest??  Although it isn't available quite yet.... thought I would go ahead and share anyways!!  BUT guess what??!!  It is a FREE stamp set with a qualifying purchase, starting on January 3rd, when the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs are released!!

You all know how I love my sketch's!  Well, I found this one on Pinterest.  I THOUGHT it would be SUPER SIMPLE to put together since the dimensions are already on the card.  BUT I was a bit confused as to what papers the measurements actually belonged to!!  Then again, I am VERY easily confused!  SO I am including my dimensions, to hopefully make it easier for you all to follow!

Basic Gray is your card base.  Bermuda Bay is the background paper.  In the center of the card, you are going to layer the Basic Gray, Shimmery White, Basic Gray, and Daffodil Delight.  After coloring in my cute little truck on the Shimmery White CS, I popped it up on the Basic Gray CS for dimension and added the smaller piece of Shimmery White to the bottom of the Basic Gray Cs.

Did you know that you can use the Shimmery White CS to water color on?  This was my first try at it and I really liked the way it turned out!!  Which reminds me.... the water color pencils I used to color the truck in, will be available to order on January 3rd as well!!  WOO HOO!!!
