Mojo Monday Sketch 475 - Let it Snow!

Let it Snow with Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 475

How's this for a change??  Trying out some new things that I am HOPING will help improve my blogging for the better!  LOL  I started my blog in November of 2008, which seems like FOREVER ago!  When I first started, I really had NO idea what I was doing.  I was just excited to share my cards, pages and 3D projects that I was creating.  I really wasn't consistent, nor did I give really any "official" instructions on how to make my projects.

but NOW.... Not only am I going to SHOW you my projects, I am going to tell you how to MAKE them as well!!  WOO HOO!!  I will include a PDF with each post that will give you the cutting dimensions for the project that I am featuring.  If I have a special technique, or something that requires more information, I will include that as well.  There is also a complete list of supplies that I used on the project.

Card Measurements:

Basic Gray CS - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 (scored @ 4 1/4), 1 1/4 x 3 3/4
Soft Sky CS - 3 x 4, 1 x 3 1/2
Chevron DSP - 4 x 5 1/4
Whisper White CS - 2 3/4 x 3 3/4, scraps for snowmen and their accessories

It's hard to see from this photo, but I used Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the raised, embossed areas of the Whisper White. I also added Clear Wink of Stella to the hat and bow tie on the snowmen. I love how it adds just a bit of shimmer and sparkle to the card. After all, snow does sparkle when it has freshly fallen!

Stampin' Up! Supplies List

If you click on the "Supply List" link, it will bring up a PDF file that includes the cutting dimensions for the card.  I would LOVE some feedback on what you think of the format of the PDF.  Do you want complete instructions on how to create the card OR leave it as it is?  You can download and print the instructions for use later OR just visit my blog and it will be linked to this post.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!

Hope this inspires you to play along with the Mojo Monday sketch this week!

Happy Stamping!!

Mojo Monday 474 "Best Fishes"

Happy Wednesday All!!  A LOT has happened since my last post!  SO let me fill you in...

On Thursday, October 27th, I received an email from A Muse Studio announcing that the CEO was retiring and they were closing the company.  I was honestly stunned.  I had only been a consultant for 43 days.  43 days!!  I had resigned from CTMH with GREAT hopes of what I could do with the product line from A Muse Studio, only to find out that everything I had been promised with A Muse Studio was not going to happen.  I had invested quite a bit over that 43 days to build my "stash" and build my business with them, only to find out it was all for not.  What was I to do?

Well, after the initial shock of the announcement, I talked it over with my hubby and friends and decided to sign back up with Stampin' Up!  I couldn't be happier with my choice and have found a new place I can call "home".  I have found SO much love and support in my new team and can't wait to see where this journey takes me!

ANYHOO!!  Along with the change in companies, I am making some changes on my blog as well!!  For starters, I am going to start including the measurements for all the cards that I create!!  That way if you like what you see, you will be able to recreate it without guessing what I used on it OR what the measurements are for each piece.  I am also going to start making videos!!  But please bare with me as I find what works.

SO Here is the Mojo Monday sketch for this week....

And here is my card.  I just LOVE the "Jar of Love" stamp set and coordinating die set "Everyday Jars"!  There are SO many possibilities with this set and am having a BLAST creating with it!

Calypso Coral - 2 3/8 x 2 3/8

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Hope this inspires you to play along with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge this week!!  I really had fun playing with this sketch this week!

Mojo Monday 470

I am SO excited that I actually finished my Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge card on the day it came out!!!  WOO HOO!!  I feel SO VERY accomplished today.  Each Monday, I check to see what the sketch is, and even start planning out my card.  But actually sitting down to make it is a different story.  SO today, I was on a mission to complete the challenge AND post it all in one day!!  YAY ME!!  I did it!  lol

Question??  Do you struggle with how to put your cards together? Where do you start?  Let me tell you how I come up with the cards I create.  Sometimes I know which stamp set I am going to use, then look for a sketch that would fit the image I want to use. Other times, I like to start with the sketch, then find an image/stamp set that will fit the sketch. Either way, I don't come up with my own LO.
There are a LOT of card sketch's out on the Internet. My favorite is the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge Blog (duh!).  I TRY to play along with the current sketch challenge. But sometimes I like to go through past sketches or even re-make sketches I've already done, because I liked the way it turned out the first time.

Another great place to find card sketches is Pinterest. Just search for card sketches and a TON will pop up!!

SO this is my take on this week's Mojo Monday card sketch. I just LOVE this stamp set!! ALL of the products used on this card are A Muse Studio!!Yeah, so I can't get enough of this stamp set!  This little cow is just TOO cute!!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Go Hog Wild
Paper: Mushroom CS, Pumpkin CS, Kraft CS, Sugar CS and Wasabi Petite Polka Dot CS
Ink: French Roast
Riboon: Toffee Twine
Dies: Go Hog Wild, Tag Bundle Die Set
(Purchase all of the above supplies HERE!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Hope this has inspired you to check out some of the awesome sketch's that are available ALL over the internet!!  Try out a different sketch each day, or at least once a week by playing along with Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge!

Happy Scrapping and Stamping!

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #469

Happy Hump Day all!!  Hope your week is going GREAT so far!!  Mine is coming along quite well, especially since I have been doing some card making over the past few days!!  I have to admit that I have been struggling a bit with my crafting mojo since I switched to A Muse Studio.  It's not that I don't LOVE it, it's just that it is different from what I am used to having to create with.  BUT I think I am over it now and am getting my creative mojo on with A Muse Studio!!  YAY ME!!

I am going to share 3 different cards with you today.  The first one is my Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge card.  The other two are ones that I created to go along with the first one.  After creating ALL 3, I have decided to offer these as my FIRST A Muse Studio card class!!  WOO HOO!!  I took the month of October off so I could play with my new products and figure out how I am going to run my card class with A Muse Studio.  But after making these cards, I am READY to begin again!!

SO this is my Mojo Monday Sketch challenge card!!  I just LOVE this little cow!!  Not to mention, the "punny" sentiment that goes along with it!  The stamp I used for all 3 cards is "Go Hog Wild".  It was one of the stamp sets that I fell in love with when I first discovered A Muse Studio.  SO naturally, it was one of the first sets that I ordered after I joined.

These little pigs (hogs) are SO cute!!  Of course, the sentiment makes the card that much cuter!!  The balloons are one of the dies that go in the die set that coordinates with the stamp set.  LOVE the coordinating dies that go with most of A Muse Studio's stamp sets!!  Sure makes "cutting" things out a heck of a lot faster/easier!!

SO funny story to tell about this card.  After I create a card, I usually text a pic of it to my friend Stacey to see what she thinks about it.  Her response made me giggle, then wonder if I should still go ahead and post it!  LOL  She told me that the card was cute!!  BUT that the SHEEP looked more like a DOG that was scooting his butt across the floor!!  Of course, now I can't look at that poor little sheep without seeing a dog scoot his butt across the floor.  If you have a dog, you will know EXACTLY what I am talking about!  OH GOODNESS!

Supplies Used: (All supplies are from A Muse Studio.  To order go to amusestudio.com/jen
Stamp Set: Go Hog Wild
Inks: Black, Fern, Sage
Markers: Varius Shin-Han (still need to invest in Copics!)
Paper: Sugar CS, Navy CS, Apple CS, Navy Reverse Polka Dot CS, Wasabi Petite Hexagon CS
Ribbon: Sugar Polka Dot Organdy, Toffee Twine
Other Embellishments: Navy Buttons
Tools: Go Hog Wild Die Set, Tag Your'e It Bundle, Pinking Circles 1B, Stitched Circles One

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Hope this inspires you to play along with this week's Mojo Monday Sketch!!

Happy Scrapping and Stamping!!

And yet another Mojo Monday Card!!

I love to stamp.  I love to use stamps on my cards and my scrapbook pages.  So to make something with NO stamping is unusual for me!  BUT this morning, I sat down to play along with this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge and created a card using ONLY the coordinating complements to Close to my Heart's Georgie papers.  I have to say I LOVE the way it turned out!!

Honestly, I forget about the package of complements that I purchase to go with each paper pack that I purchase through CTMH.  Not sure why exactly.  Maybe it's because I usually have a specific stamp set in mind when I set out to create a card.  OR maybe it's because I put them in a separate place from where I keep my papers.  At any rate, after making this card, I am definitely going to start pulling them out when I choose the papers I am going to use on my card.

The arrows and the Bundle of Joy chipboard are from the complements.  The little heart in the center of the image is from the sticker sheet that also comes in the complements.  To add dimension to the heart, to make it stand out a bit more, I added liquid glass.  Love how it pops it a bit, without taking away from the whole image.  I liked the little arrows on either side of the circle, but thought they were missing something.  SO I added 3 sparkles on each to begin with, but it looked incomplete.  By adding the bitty sparkles to the ends of the arrows, it completed the look I was going for!!  YAY!!

Thanks SO SO much for stopping by!!  If you like what you see on my blog, make sure to check out my Facebook Page Jen's Scrappy Pages to see more art that I don't post to my blog.  I also post specials that Close to my Heart is holding each month.

I hope that this has inspired you to try creating a card using something other than stamping on them!  I'm not going to lie, it is weird at first, like something is missing, but in the end it looks just as good AND takes less time to create!!

Happy Scrapping and Stamping!!

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #436

Each week I have the best of intentions to sit down and play with the new sketch from Mojo Monday Sketch blog, but I end up not getting around to playing with it.  Yesterday, I finally sat down and pulled out my supplies and played along!!  I LOVE the way it turned out!!  It's SO bright and cheery and just all around makes me happy!

I kept the card fairly simple and clean by using matching ink to distress the edges.  I can't quite seem to get away from adding some color to the edges.  Maybe that's because this was how I was taught.  When I first became a consultant for CTMH, distressing the edges of the paper was the "in" thing to do.  What I love about it, is that it gives dimension to the paper, kind of separates each piece from the other.

I ended up making two cards to go along with the challenge.  Not on purpose, mind you, but because of the extra circles and flowers I cut out trying to get the perfect color combo on the first card.  LOL

This first card is my fav out of the two.  I LOVE how bright and cheery it is with the sunshiny yellow background, but also love the dimension that the embossing folder gives the card.

This second card is still sweet, just felt like it was lacking the dimension that the first card had.  The reason I am sharing it as well, is how I created the center of the flowers on this one.  Close to my Heart sells these really cute embellishment packets called Fundamental Assortments.  In them are a sheet of glitter shapes of various sizes that have an adhesive back.  Because I didn't have any gems to stick on the center of the Silver Sequins that I used, I used the glitter circles instead.

The glitter circles are flat with NO dimension at all, which didn't look right in the center of a semi-flat sequin.  SO I pulled out my trusty Liquid Glass and added a nice dollop on top of each circle.  Once dried, these babies look JUST LIKE a glitter gem!!  LOVE the dimension AND sparkle that they have now!!  Will be doing this from now on when I use the shapes from the Fundamental Assortments!!

Supplies used:
Patterned Paper: Penelope Paper Packet
Cardstock: White Daisy, Pear, Crystal Blue, Pixie and Canary
Stamp Set: Say it All (unfortunately this is retired now, any sentiment would work)
Embellishments: Thistle Fundamental Assortment, Silver Sequins, Liquid Glass, Glacier Fundamental Assortment, Grey Enamel Gems (used the white from the package)
Tools: Art Philosophy Cartridge, Cricut Explore with Design Space

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Hope this has inspired you to get out your Liquid Glass and add some dimension to your not so dimensional items!!

Happy Scrapping and Stamping!!

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge...Back At It!!!

Those of you who have been following my journey with CTMH thus far, know that I LOVE me a sketch challenge!!  ESPECIALLY the Mojo Monday blog challenge!!  It's been a while since I have played along and I am SO happy to be doing so again!!

I started this card yesterday, using a completely different stamp set, no flowers and different colored Shimmer Trim.  SO glad I kept changing things up as I went along!!  This is SO much better than when I first started!!

The flowers on this card were cut using CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  Can't tell you the last time I pulled out my Cricut and cut something with it!!  LOL  MIGHT have had to dust it off a bit, AFTER bringing it up from storage in the basement.  It feels SO good to know that I have not forgot how to use it and it still runs like a dream!!  It's the little things in life....

I LOVE this stamp set.  I am personally not a religious person at this time in my life, but that is a LONG story that we don't have time to tell today!  LOL  BUT at one point, when I read the scriptures, this one was my favorite.  This would be a GREAT card to give to someone who's life is burdened down with stress or is feeling a low.  Knowing that you can cast your burden's on God and he will sustain you, is comforting to those who seek God and look to Him for guidance.  Well, that just got a little deep....

Here is the AWESOME MojoMonday sketch that I followed!!  How about YOU give it a try too??

Look to the Light - B1428 - $9.95

Zoe Paper Packet - X7197B - $9.95

Slate Ink - Z2173 - $6.95

Silver Shimmer Trim - Z1799 - $4.95

Silver Sequins - Z2013 - $2.95

An oldie, but STIL goodie: Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge - Z1686 - $99.00

I also used a BRAND NEW product that will be available in the new Close to my Heart Annual Inspirations in September.  They are Grey Enamel Gems and come in 3 different shades, including the white ones that are used on my card.  I COMPLETELY forgot they have not been released yet when I was adding them to my card...you are welcome for the sneak peek!!  lol

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Hope this has inspired you to join in on the fun of the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge this week...or next week...or the week after that!  OR heck, go back a few weeks, months, or even years to see what sketch jumps out at you to try out!

Happy Stamping and Scrapping!!

A Merry Little Wish

I have to say, it feel GREAT to be creating again!!  I know that I am truly in a happy place when my creative mojo is back!!  Plus, I think I have found my niche'.  I like making cards.  Whooda thunk when I started scrapbooking years ago, that I would end up as a card maker??  Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I will NEVER scrapbook again.  After all, I have a TON of pics that really need to be printed and put into SOMETHING.  Just not quite sure what that something is at the moment.

Have you checked out the sketch for Mojo Monday this week?  Well if not, here it is!!  I have been searching for some new sketch blogs and have found a couple that I am going to start participating in.  It was sad to me however, that a few of the sketch blogs that I used to visit no longer exist.  I think I will cry if the Mojo Monday blog ever stops their challenges!!

The card I created uses some GORGEOUS papers from the SU! Holiday Catalog called All is Calm.  They are SO wintery and soft when you put them all together.  I love the soft look of the Pear Pizzazz and Soft Sky papers and inks.  I inked both trees in Soft Sky, going over it twice to darken it, then inked over it with Pear Pizzazz.  There is also a tree punch that coordinates with the stamp set Festival of Trees, but I don't have it quite yet!

LOVING this Lost Lagoon 3/8" Silky Taffeta Ribbon that is featured in the SU! Holiday Catalog!!  The color is gorgeous and the feel of it really is silky!  I tied some Linen Thread in a knot around the trunk of each tree just to give them a bit more dimension.

I normally don't embellish or stamp the inside of my cards.  BUT this stamp set has a sentiment that is meant for the front of the card and the inside.  SO I figured, as long as I was stamping on the inside, might as well put some accent paper in there as well!!  Sorry the pic is blurry...using my iPhone to take the pics right now.

Thanks SO much for stopping by today!!

I hope this inspires you to head on over to the Mojo Monday Blog and give this weeks sketch a try!!  You will have fun playing with it, I promise!!

Happy Stampin' Up!

Mojo Monday 328

Have you seen all the sweet little 2 x 2 stamps that Close to my Heart featured in the Autumn/Winter Idea Book?  If not, you need to check them out!!  They are the PERFECT size for creating sweet but simple cards!  I have used them on quite a few of my cards as of late and can't wait to show you what CTMH has in store in the new Spring/Summer Idea Book.

I love playing along with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenges and have made it one of my goals this year to play along each week!  SO this is my take on the sketch...

I used my FAVORITE plaid paper from the Laughing Lola paper pack!!  The shaped Laughing Lola Purple piece was cut out using the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.  I have not made the time to play with the different shapes from the cartridge, but sat down and really had fun finding shapes that could be used for cards!

I stamped the Dotted Love image onto Kraft CS then again on Laughing Lola Purple, cut out the heart and added Liquid Glass for a bit more dimension after popping up the heart with pop tape.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

I hope this inspires you to play along with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge!!

Happy Scrapping and Stamping!!

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #327

It has been a while since I have participated in the Mojo Monday Sketch challenge.  SO I thought I would sit down and play along this week.  I forgot how fun it is just to sit down and actually get to "play" with all of my papers, embellishments and stamp sets without having to use specific papers or embellishments.  I REALLY need to do this more often!!

This is the sketch...

This is my version....

The little hearts are from the Trinkets Wooden Shapes.  I sponged Chocolate, Sunset, Lagoon and Buttercup on each one then added Liquid Glass for a little extra shine!

I used the colors and papers from Close to my Heart's Babycakes and the SUPER CUTE giraffe and sentiment are from the Wild Wonders stamp set.  To finish the card, I wrapped it with Chocolate and Sunset Baker's Twine.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

I hope this inspires you to head on over to the Mojo Monday Blog to participate in the sketch this week as well!!

Happy Scrapping and Stamping!!

Mojo Monday 219....My Card

It has been a while since I have played along with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.  SO yesterday when my friend Nicki stopped by to "play" for a bit, I thought it would be fun to check out the blog to see the current sketch and create a card using some new papers that I bought a few weeks ago.

The papers are NOT CMTH (GASP!!).  I know!  I was really needing some fresh papers and colors to play with a few weeks ago....SO I went to my local Archiver's on a mission to find some fun 6x6 paper packs.  WELL let me tell you....I found a TON of cute 6x6 paper packs!  I found so many that I had to limit myself and put some of them back!  I ended up buying 6!  Not to mention the 3 that I had purchased a few weeks before that......

ANYHOO....Onto the card.....

This card was created using the "Winter Park" 6x6 paper pad from "echo park paper co."  The rest of the embellishments and stamping was from CTMH.  The stamp set used is "Snowflakes", the ribbon is from  the "Designer Ribbon Blue Collection" and the sparkles used are CTMH as well.

The background paper for this card was a bit too plain, SO I stamped snowflakes with White Daisy Pigment Ink from CTMH then I added a sparkle in the center of a few of the snowflakes for a bit more dimension.  MUCH MORE BETTERER!!  lol

That is going to do it for today.....

I hope that this has inspired you to check out the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge and create one of your own!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Happy Scrapping and Stamping!!

Another Mojo Monday Sketch Card......#183

I am so excited that I have been able to participate in the past 2 Mojo Monday Sketch Challenges!  It gave me an excuse to pull out the new Fanfare Level 2 papers and play with them.  It is pretty sad to me that I purchased these papers clear back in the consultant preview period in January, but have just now pulled them out of the bag to actually use them instead of just drooling over them.  WOW Was that a run-on sentence or what??  LOL

Anyhoo......trying to find a stamp set that would not only work with these papers BUT also had to fit the area that I had to stamp in was quite a challenge for me.  Which reminds me of something that I was talking to my friend Cindy about earlier this morning.........

............When you set out to create a card, what do you start with first?  Do you have a specific stamp set in mind that you want to use?  Do you have a certain paper that you just bought and can't wait to cut into?  OR do you start with a sketch, like a sketch challenge and go from there?

Today, I started with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge AND the Fanfare Level 2 Paper Pack.  I knew that I wanted to play with the Fanfare papers, but also wanted to try out the new sketch.  But when it came to the stamping......I had NO clue what I wanted to use with it.  Which then created a challenge for me to come up with a set that spoke to me.  As soon as I ran across this set in my boxes, I KNEW it was THE ONE!  It yelled at me......USE ME, USE ME!!  I know you know what I am talking about.  lol

I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on this as I know everyone has a different way of creating that perfect card.......

Supplies used:
Paper: Fanfare Level 2 Paper Pack, Black CS, Sky CS and Pacifica CS
Stamp set: Childhood
Inks: Pacifica, Sky, Cranberry and Black
Embellishments: Cranberry Ribbon, Fanfare Level 2 Assortment
Tools: CTMH 2" Scalloped Circle Punch, SU! 1 3/4 Circle Punch

Thanks SO much for stopping by today!!

I hope that this has inspired you to pull out those papers that you purchased months ago but have not touched since the day you brought them home!

Happy Scrapping and Stamping!!!

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge, Heart 2 Heart,Papercraft Star and Color Me Monday

It has been a while since I have played with any of the sketch challenges lately.  So, I sat down this afternoon and checked out the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge and Color Me Monday on Jeanette Lynton's blog.  Heart 2 Heart Challenges and Papercraft Star are also holding challenges and my card fit in to BOTH of those as well.  Heart 2 Heart Challenges is having an embossing challenge while Papercraft Star is accepting Thank You submissions.  So what the heck?  I entered this little owl in the 3 that I could!

I REALLY liked the sketch and loved the colors that Jeanette picked for this week.  I have yet to get out all of the NEW colors that were introduced in the Autumn/Winter 2010 Idea Book and thought it would be fun to play with them.

If you would like to play along with the sketch challenge, click on the Mojo Monday banner on my sideline.  The colors for the Color Me Monday were Gypsy, Pear, Lagoon and Cotton Candy.  I ended up using just the Pear and Lagoon on my card, so may end up playing a bit more with the other colors in the challenge.

Supplies used:
Paper: ALL CARDSTOCK Lagoon, Pear, Black and White Daisy (no wonder it is so heavy!)
Stamps: Say it in Style, Hot Diggity
Inks: Black, Pear and Lagoon
Embellishments: Lagoon Sparkles (blue and green sparkles assortment) Black Ribbon, Lagoon Mini Medley Accents and Black Hemp.
Tools: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and Nestabilities, 3/4 Circle SU! Punch

Thanks for stopping by!!

Hope this has inspired you to play along with some of the challenges out there!  It is a lot of fun and helps stretch your creativity a bit!

Happy Scrapping and Stamping!

Mojo Monday Sketch using Color me Monday color combo

WOO HOO!!  I am SO excited that not only have I created a card for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge, but I used the color combo from Jeanette Lynton's Color Me Monday color combo!!!  Not to mention that I used what I have and pulled out some B&T from the Free Spirit paper pack, which is no longer a current product.   That was actually a HUGE step for me.  I usually don't break out the retired papers to use on my current projects.  Guess I just like to showcase the current products that CTMH has to offer......

SO here it is......  The colors used are Outdoor Denim, Indian Corn Blue, Cranberry and Creme Brulee.  I cheated a bit and used a bit of Honey Ink on the Creme Brulee CS to ink the embossed lines AND the B&T paper uses Honey too.

Supplies used are all CTMH
Paper: Free Spirit, Outdoor Denim CS, Creme Brulee CS, Indian Corn Blue CS
Stamp Set: Childhood Portrait
Inks used: Creme Brulee, Outdoor Denim, Indian Corn Blue, Honey
Embellishments: Cranberry Ribbon, Outdoor Denim Brads and Outdoor Denim Ribbon
Tools used: Paper Trimmer with scoring blade to create lines on CS

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

I hope that I have inspired you to participate in a challenge or two!  This was a fun one for me and I look forward to the next one......

Happy Scrapping and Stamping!!

Mojo Monday Sketch Featuring Lizzie

Happy Monday!! Well, at least it is a happy Monday for me! Why? Because it is Mojo Monday, of course!! LOL Each Monday I cannot wait to check out what awesome sketch is to be discovered over at the Mojo Monday Sketch Blog to get my creative juices going. Really, I am being totally serious here!

For my card I chose Lizzie from InStyle Stamps. I am learning how to shade with my Copics and highlight with my white gel pen and am pretty tickled with how she turned out! I have not perfected staying in the lines with these markers yet, so I chose to emboss the image to create a barrier between colors. I LOVE the way it turned out and will be using this technique more often.

The papers I chose to use are from a 6x6 Basic Grey paper pack called Lilykate. I chose these because I had already colored the image and needed to find papers that matched! LOL

The supplies used for this card are:
Stamps: InStyle Stamps Lizzie, CTMH Say it in Style
Paper: Basic Grey Lilykate
Embellishments: Sparkles Chloe's Closet, Paper Flower, ribbon and cordoroy button CTMH
Ink: CTMH Lilac Mist

Hope this has inspired you to play along with the Mojo Monday sketch this week!

Stop back by to check out my FIRST Magnolia Stamps image! I can't wait to share!!

InStyle Stamps Sneak Peak!!

I would like to introduce you to Supermom! Isn't she just SUPER cute? She will be available to purchase on Wednesday April 1st over at InStyle Stamps. For another sneak peak and to see what's happening over at InStyle Stamps this week, visit the blog!

I have to tell you that I actually had a hard time trying to figure out how I wanted to color her Super outfit. I ended up doing a search for Super Hero costumes and decided on leaving her legs bare, therefore we have a sexy Supermom!!

Once I had her coloring down, I knew exactly which papers I was going to use for the card! I pulled out my CTMH Blue Ribbon paper pack and started playing. The background was made with my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and Outdoor Denim ink was swiped over the top and the edges.

I used my Copic markers to color the image, although it turned out ok, I know that it could look better if I would learn how to shade! I had just finished coloring the image and was getting ready to adhere the paper to the Outdoor denim mat when I smudged the White Daisy CS that Supermom was on. SOOOO I cut out Supermom and pop dotted her onto another piece of CS.

This is the sketch that I followed to create my card. I love the sketches that the Mojo Monday blog provides each week and try to play along when I can.

Supplies used:
Stamp: Supermom, InStyle Stamps
Paper: CTMH Blue Ribbon

It's Monday.......Do you know what that means?

It means that it is Mojo Monday again! AND once again they have come up with a sketch that is impossible to resist! LOL This just might be my favorite sketch yet! I even surprised myself with how quickly this card came together. I do feel that it needs some brads or something because it feels plain to me. But when I did try to add a little something, it just seemed to make it look too busy. Anyhoo.....Here is the sketch....

And here is my take on the sketch......

For my card I used CTMH Stardust paper pack and Reach for the Stars stamp set. I stamped the rocket and exhaust with Versa Mark and Staz On and then embossed the image with Ultra Fine embossing powder. I used my CTMH Moonstruck Topiary and Grey Flannel markers to color both in. I really like how the embossing keeps the colors from bleeding into one another. It keeps it looking crisp to me. Here is a close up to show the dimension..........

Most supplies used for this card are CTMH:

Paper: My Reflections Stardust Level 2
Stamps: CTMH Reach for the Stars
Ribbon: Outdoor Denim and White Daisy
Nestabilities Circles

Hope that I have inspired in some way today!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you come back soon!
