Hey Guys!!  I thought I would try something different for today's card.  My friend and downline Nicki came over yesterday for a "play" date and she brought with her the Detailed Floral Thinlits dies.  I have not purchased it YET, because it honestly is not my style.  Although I've seen some BEAUTIFUL projects created with the set, it just wasn't on my radar to purchase.  BUT I went ahead and played with it yesterday and came up with today's card.

I used the die cut as a stencil and used my Watercolor Pencils to color in the flowers on some Watercolor Paper.  After I made it, I had ABSOLUTELY no idea what I was going to do with it.  SO I put it up for the night and came back to it this morning.  I ended up running it through the Hexagons Embossing Folder and decided that this sweet little kitty from the Pretty Kitty stamp set NEEDED to go with it!!  I added a doily from the Delicate White Doilies pack along with a couple of circles from the Layering Circles Dies and the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  Of course I had to finish off the flowers with a touch of shimmer using the Clear Wink of Stella.

I just LOVE the way it turned out!!  The watercolors blended so beautifully with each other and really softened up to create the background.  This is probably one of my fav cards so far!

This is a stamp set that I purchased & haven't used so when I saw your card, I was very interested. Then the background really peaked my interest so I came to your blog and am now a follower. Thank you for the video tutorial which was very informative. I hope to give this technique a try as I just love the new hexagonal embossing folder.
