This is my very FIRST shaker card!!  YAY ME!!  For some reason, I have been afraid to make one of these, but decided to go ahead and take the plunge and make one!!  Now that I have made one, I will be making LOTS more!  lol

I just love the little fishes from the Jar of Love stamp set and Everyday Jars Framelits.  They are SO cute!  Lately, I just can't get enough of the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack.  I used So Saffron and Pool Party DSP for this card.  I created the frame by using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and the Layering Squares Framelits Dies.  To see how I created the frame for my shaker card, make sure to watch the video!!  It's a bit long, BUT I promise it will be well worth the time it takes to watch it!

Hey Guys!!  Today's card is the last of 3 cards that I created using the Bella & Friends stamp set with Pool Party CS, Pool Party Stitched Satin Ribbon and Whisper White CS.  I just LOVE the simplicity of these cards and how they make miss Bella shine!  I used an Aqua Painter with Pool Party and Watermelon ink to color in her collar and heart tag, then went over it with the Clear Wink of Stella for a tad bit of shimmer.  

If you would like to see the other two cards that I created to go along with this one, make sure to check them out HERE and HERE.  Miss Bella would look just as sweet using any color card stock you choose!  I was thinking a soft pink would be sweet with her as well.  I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits with each of the cards, as well as the Layering Ovals and Squares.  I LOVE that the Stitched Shapes Framelits come with all 3 shapes and fit perfectly with the Layering Ovals, Layering Squares and Layering Circles.  OR they look great all on their own!

Hey All!!  Don't you just love it when you have something in mind for a card and it actually turns out even BETTER than you thought it would??!!  I am VERY pleased with the way this card came out.  I envisioned using the Delicate Details stamp set from Sale-A-Bration, with the Blushing Bride ribbon that I recently purchased.  I wanted the lace image to come out from under the ribbon, but that's all I knew.  

I searched for a card sketch that would fit my vision and found a SUPER SIMPLE sketch in one of my old sketch books.  Once I had that, I went through my limited stash of stamp sets to see if anything jumped out at me and came across the You're Sublime set that I purchased just this last week.  The rest of the card came together pretty quickly after that!!  Yay for fast cards!!  LOL

The image was colored using an Aqua Painter and the following inks: Blushing Bride, Soft Sky, Sweet Sugarplum, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso.  Add a touch of shimmer with the Clear Wink of Stella to top it off.  Gotta have that sparkle!!

Aren't the cards the cutest?  If I do say so myself!  LOL  I decided to play along with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge this week and struggled a bit with it at first.  BUT when I finished the card with the crazy hair chicks on it, I wasn't sure if it was TOO much.  SO I created one using the eggs!  Now I can't decide which one I like best!

For both cards, I colored in the chicks/eggs from the Hey Chick Sale-A-Bration stamp set with an Aqua Painter using Watermelon Wonder, Pear Pizzazz, and Peekaboo Peach.  Of course I had to top it off with some Clear Wink of Stella!!  For the birds, I only used the shimmer on their hair and tail feathers.  The flowers on both cards have shimmer on them as well.  LOVE my sparkle!

This card was created using Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder.

Today's projects is a clean and simple card using the Succulent Framelits dies and your paper trimmer!  Aren't those flowers just beautiful?  They were created by sponging So Saffron and Calypso Coral ink onto Shimmery White CS.  Cut the flowers out using the Succulent Framelits Dies and add Wink of Stella for the shimmery look.  SO pretty!!  

I used a paper trimmer with my bone folder to run an embossed line 1/2" on the 4 x 5 1/4 and 1/4" on the 2 x 2 3/4 piece. Of course, you can also use your favorite scoring tool as well.  I don't have one, so I used what I have on hand.

Detailed Dragonfly Card - Mojo Monday

I just LOVE the way this card turned out!!  In fact, I loved it SO much, I made one just like it I made it in soft sky too!!  Can't decide which one is my favorite!  The Blushing Bride, along with the sentiment makes for a beautiful Valentine's day card.  While the Soft Sky card would be great to send to a friend or just about anyone really, who has been there for you.

Tip Top Taupe CS - 4 1/4 x 8 1/2, 3 x 4 (dragonfly)

Blushing Bride CS/Soft Sky CS - 4 x 4, 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 (scalloped circle)

Falling in Love DSP - 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, 3 x 4 (dragonfly)

I created this card using the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge from this week.  I left out the 2 squares on the original sketch because it wasn't quite working for what I envisioned for the dragonfly.  LOVE the way it turned out!!  It's been a while since I have distressed on my cards, but felt like this needed some sort of separation from the soft colors.  I added just a touch of Tip Top Taupe ink to the edges with a sponge.

The Falling in Love papers are GORGEOUS in person!!  LOVE LOVE LOVE this paper pack!  But to be honest, I was not a fan of it as it is shown in the Occasions catalog.  SO happy I purchased it, because I would have missed out on creating with the soft colors of Blushing Bride, Soft Sky, and the muted tones of Sahara Sand.  Tip Top Taupe is a PERFECT addition to this color scheme as it is just a darker tone of Sahara Sand.

Let's talk about the Detailed Dragonfly Dies....  When I first purchased them, I had a hard time using them at first.  Just wasn't sure what the heck to do with them!  LOL  SO I forced myself to get them out and just play.  Now I can't get enough!  I just LOVE the touch of shimmer on the dragonfly from adding the Clear Wink of Stella to the Tip Top Taupe CS.  BEAUTIFUL!!

This card uses Pear Pizzazz for the card base.

 This card uses Watermelon Wonder for the card 

base and to color in the heart outline.

Hey All!!  Today's project is this sweet, but simple card I created using the Sunshine Wishes Framelits Dies and Sunshine Sayings stamp set.  These two sets can also be purchased as a bundle!!  I had SO much fun putting this card together, I created two more using the other dies in the set.  Not to mention, it takes little time to create!  Both the stamp and die set are featured in the Annual SU! catalog.

To create the shapes, I used Watercolor paper along with an Aqua brush and ink that coordinates with the cardstock base that I chose.  What I LOVE about this technique is that, depending on the amount of water/ink that you use, you end up with a different look for each die.  You can have a softer look if you use more water on your brush.  You can also deepen the color by going back over it with more ink.

Please note that the color is a bit off in my video.  The Peekaboo Peach looks more yellow than peach.  BUT try as I might, I just couldn't get an exact match.

Aren't these little hedgehogs the CUTEST??  This would be a GREAT Valentine's day card!  Don't you think??!!  I am just in LOVE with this stamp set!  The images are whimsical and super sweet and perfect for sending to a loved one, or a good friend.  It would bring a smile to anyone's face that received a card with this on it!!  BEST part is.... It's FREE with Hostess Rewards!!  Who doesn't love free stuff, especially stamp sets!  

This card was created using the Paper & Ink Sketch #13.  I just love the soft colors from the Falling in Love DSP pack.  The piece of paper that I used for this card was cut from the top of the 12x12 piece, where the hearts were more random than the rest of the paper.

SCREAM!!!!  I have some SUPER EXCITING NEWS for you all!!  I have completed my VERY FIRST video tutorial!!  YAY ME!!  LOL  This is HUGE for me.  For one, I really don't like the sound of my voice.  And two, I've made several other attempts at creating a video for previous cards that I have created, but never got past all the bloopers to post any of them!  

Please bare with me as I get used to creating videos.  It's a LOT harder than I EVER imagined.  I've watched plenty of other crafter's videos and thought to myself.... I could TOTALLY do that!  But when I actually sat down to make a video, I got all tongue tied and nothing seemed to come out of my mouth that sounded even half way coherent.

Mojo Monday 479 Sketch

Hey All!!  Thought I would change things up with my Mojo Monday Sketch last week!  Instead of making ONE card using the sketch, I created TWO!!  LOL  Yeah, that's my BIG change!  I liked the first one SO much that I decided to flip the orientation of the card and create a second one.  LOVE the way they BOTH turned out!!

The colors/papers that I used for both cards are from the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP stack in the Occasions catalog.  I just LOVE LOVE LOVE these colors and papers!!  Make sure to check out the Sale-A-Bration and Occasions Catalogs for some pretty awesome new stamp sets, dies, papers, embossing folders and fun embellishments!!
