Succulent Framelits Thank You Card

Succulent Framelits Thank You Card

Dimensions:
Whisper White CS - 4 1/4 x 11, 4 x 5 1/4, scrap for flowers
2016-2018 Designer Paper Series Stack - Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo, and Peekaboo Peach
1 7/8", 1 5/8", 1 1/8" Circles

I thought I would keep it simple for today's project.  I double embossed the flowers using Whisper White CS and White Stamping' Emboss powder and LOVE the glossy look it gives them.  It almost makes them look like enamel shapes.

I used the retiring Succulent Framelits Dies, 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes and 2016-2018 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack.  The sentiment is from the Bella & Friends stamp set and the circles were cut out using the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.  Don't forget, if you want to get your hands on the retiring products before they are gone forever, you need to do so by tomorrow night (May 31st).

Eastern Medallions Pick A Pattern Altered Notebook

Eastern Medallions Pick A Pattern
Altered Notebook

Dimensions:
Basic Black CS - 8 1/2 x 10 3/4, 2 x 5,
3" scalloped circle, 2" scalloped circle
Crushed Curry CS - 3" circle
Whisper White CS - 3" Eastern Medallion Die (cut out with circle die around it), 1 7/8" circle
Pick A Pattern DSP - 5 x 8 1/4, 2 x 5, 1 3/4 x 5

Score 8 1/2 x 10 3/4 Basic Black CS at 5 1/4, 5 1/2 (landscape)

Today's project is a bit of a throwback.  Well, a throw back from one of my FB Live projects about a month or so ago.  I am in LOVE with the Pick A Pattern DSP that is coming out on June 1st in the new catalog!!!!  I can see MANY projects made up with this pack in the near future!  I already need to buy a second pack after using most of it for these altered notebooks.

I stole the Eastern Medallions and Eastern Beauty stamp set from one of my past cards to add it to this notebook and absolutely LOVE the way it looks!!  Make sure to watch the video to see how I put it all together.  It's easy peasy and SO much fun to make!  To  cut out the medallion, I put a large circle from the Layering Circles Framelits around the medallion die and cut them both out together to form the circle.  I cut out another circle using colored cs, that is the same size as the circle I put around the medallion.  Can't wait to send these out!!

You're Sublime - Random Stamped Background

You're Sublime
Random Stamped Background

Dimensions:
Bermuda Bay CS - 4 1/4 x 11 (card base)
Berry Burst CS - 3 x 4
Whisper White CS - 4 x 5 1/4, 3 7/8 x 5 1/8, 3 1/8 x 4 1/8,
2 7/8 x 3 7/8, 3 x 3, 2 3/4 x 2 3/4, scrap for balloon

I created this FUN card using Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay inks to create a bright and cheery background.  Stamp sets used on this card are You're Sublime, Swirly Bird, and Birthday Banners.  Gonna miss this little toad when he retires at the end of the month!

To create the frame around the toad, I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits and Layering Squares Framelits.  I really like how the stitching around the frame gives it a more finished look.  The Fine-Tip Glue Pen adds a nice element to the toads eyes, as well as the Clear Wink of Stella on the balloon.  It's amazing how just the smallest of details can make such a big impact on completing the look of the card.

You're Sublime - Paper Piecing

You're Sublime - Paper Piecing

Dimensions:
Pool Party CS - 4 1/4 x 11, 3 1/4 x 3 1/4
Peekaboo Peach CS - Scrap for stamping
Whisper White CS - 4 x 5 1/4, 3 1/4 x 3 1/4, scrap for stamping
Tasty Treats DSP - 1 1/2 x 5 3/8, 1 1/2 x 4

This sweet card was made using the You're Sublime stamp set which is retiring at the end of the month.  I used Clear Wink of Stella and the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to create a shimmery, glossy effect on the windows, bubbles and fish!!  The idea for that technique came from the amazing Jennifer McGuire, once again!!

I used the largest circles from the Layering Circles and Stitched Shapes Framelits.  The enamel shapes I used are from the Brights Enamel Shapes.  To color in parts of the submarine, fish and bubbles, I used Peekaboo Peach, Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, and Basic Grey Stampin' Write Markers.  I used the edge of my Basic Black marker to give a finished edge to all the pieces I cut out.  The papers are from the retiring Tasty Treats DSP.

Thoughts & Prayers - Get Well Soon

Thoughts & Prayers - Get Well Soon

Dimensions:
Kraft CS - 4 1/4 x 11, 5/8 x 4
Flirty Flamingo CS - 4 x 5 1/4
Very Vanilla CS - 2 7/8 x 3 3/4, 2 1/8 x 3 3/4
Delicate White Doily - Cut in half

Today's card uses the stamp set Thoughts & Prayers, which has been around SU! for a while, but is new to me!  SO thought I would play with it and this is what I came up with.  The first card I made was in Peekaboo Peach, but when I went to make this video, I found out I didn't have enough of the Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon.  SO I changed it to Flirty Flamingo instead.  I think I like the Flirty Flamingo version better!!

I colored in the flowers on the stamp, using Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy and Early Espresso Stampin' Write Markers.  The sequins used for this card are in the Sprinkles Embellishments that are retiring and are available at a discount while supplies last on my website.  The Kraft CS I used is also retiring (BOO) and is available while supplies last until May 31st.  I am SUPER sad to see this retiring as I love using it once in a while, instead of regular cardstock.

Lovely Words Card - Stacked Die Cutting

Lovely Words Card - Stacked Die Cutting

Whisper White CS - 4 x 5 1/4, 3 1/2 x 3 1/2
Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, and So Saffron CS - 4 x 5 1/4

Colors used for this card:
Basic Black, Tranquil Tide, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, and Whisper White

Die used for this card:
Happy Birthday Thinlit

This card was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's latest video Stacked Die Cutting.  I just LOVE the way it turned out and couldn't wait to share it!!  Jennifer's method is a bit different from mine, so make sure to check out her video as well on her YouTube Channel Jennifer McGuire Ink.

For my cards, I used the Layering Circles Framelits, Lovely Words Thinlits (debuting June 1st) and the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies.  The stamp sets I used are Lovely Inside & Out and Feathery Friends (host set), both of which will be debuting in the new 2017 Stampin' Up! Catalog on June 1st.

Swirly Bird Card

Swirly Bird Card
Cased from the NEW 2017-2018 SU! Catalog
Dimensions:
Peekaboo Peach CS - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 (card base),
1 3/4 x 1 3/4 (circle die)
Whisper White CS - Large scrap for stamping and die cuts,
3 3/4 x 5

Thought I would share a cased card from the new 2017-2018 SU catalog.  I just LOVE all the texture on this card and the bright colors from the 2016-2018 In Colors.  The Swirly Bird stamp set and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits are quickly becoming one of my fav sets.

The original card in the catalog uses a stamped sentiment onto Whisper White CS.  Since I didn't have that stamp available, I found one in the Jar of Love stamp set and embossed it on a Peekaboo Peach CS circle and added a Whisper White circle from the Layering Circles Framelits to back it.  Not too shabby!!  Overall, I LOVE the way it turned out and will be looking for another card to case in the near future!

Big on Birthdays Watercolor Card

Big on Birthdays Watercolor Card
Dimensions:
Whisper White CS - 4 1/4 x 11, 2 7/8 x 4 3/8
Melon Mambo CS - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, 1/2 x 2 3/4
Watercolor Paper - 4 x 5 1/4, 2 3/4 x 4 1/4
Scrap watercolor paper to scribble watercolor pencil on

Happy Monday Guys!!  Hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday!  My hubby and I were couch potatoes all day and loved every minute of it!!

Today's project is a simple, yet beautiful watercolor card using the Big on Birthdays stamp set and Watercolor Pencils.  I took a different approach to adding the watercolor to this card.  I don't know about you, but I have a hard time applying the pencils to my project and adding water.  I just can't seem to get all the pencil marks to completely disappear, which bothers me.  SO I decided to scribble the watercolor pencils onto a separate piece of watercolor paper, then use a paint brush to transfer the color onto the watercolor paper that will be going onto your card.  Easy Peasy!!

You're Sublime - Have a Snappy Day!

You're Sublime - Have a Snappy Day!

Dimensions:
Basic Black CS - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, 3 x 3, 1 x 5 1/2
Real Red CS - 4 x 5 1/4, 3 x 3
Whisper White CS - 3 3/4 x 5 (two, one for stamping, one for inside), 5/8 x 5 1/2
Shimmery White CS - 2 3/4 x 2 3/4

I have another simple, not so simple card for today!  I used the crab stamp from You're Sublime with the sentiment cut off the stamp, to stamp out my background.  It was easy to add the sentiment back on when I stamped out my main image.  I stamped and embossed the crab on Shimmery White CS using VersaMark and the Archival Basic Black stamp pad and colored him in with a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker.  The Shimmery White CS makes coloring in the crab nice and smooth as the marker doesn't soak into the CS as I am coloring.

I just LOVE the Basic Black, Real Red and Whisper White CS's together.  The Real Red Satin Ribbon adds just the right touch to soften the card just a bit.  The Layering Circles Framelits and Stitched Shapes Framelits go perfectly together.  I just can't get enough of them!!
