Using Pigment Inks as a Background

Pigment ink...what is it good for?  Well, it is GREAT for embossing with, stamping with when you need a more opaque look, stamping on material and other non paper items, and just swiping across the background of a project that you need a pop of color!   I am SURE there are MANY other uses for pigment ink...but that is all my little brain could come up with off the top of my head just now!  LOL

I really liked the way this turned out!!  SO bright and cheery!  My first card was created for my monthly Cricut Class in January.

I used Buttercup, Cotton Candy and Sweet Leaf Pigment Inks to create the striped background.  All you do is take your pigment pad and swipe it from one end of the card base to the other.  I do swipe again going the opposite direction so both ends of my paper have ink on the edges.

The cupcake and sentiment are both from the stamp set that is included in the Artiste Cartridge when you purchase it!!  I have to honestly say that this is the first time I have used the stamp sets that come with the cartridge...I purchased it in 2012 right after convention in July!  OOPS!  lol

For this card, I used Smoothie and Creme Brulee Pigment inks, then stamped a sweet little flower going from one end to the other.  Isn't that little angel a little cutie??  She was featured in the Holiday Gift Guide, but is still available to order through my website!!  Stamp set is called Angel Friends...

Thanks for stopping by!!

I hope that this has inspired you to get out your Pigment Inks and create some FUN backgrounds for your cards, scrapbook pages and paper projects!

Happy Scrapping and Stamping!!
