Mojo Monday #464 AND Close to my Heart Color Dare #209

Happy day after Labor Day!!  Hope you all had an AMAZING weekend and were able to take it easy for a few days!!  Today, I am killing two birds with one stone, so to speak.  I really don't like the way that sounds... I wouldn't kill one bird with one stone, let alone two birds with one stone, but I guess it's only a saying!  LOL  This week, I decided to give the Close to my Heart Color Dare weekly challenge a try and figured as long as I was "playing", I might as well combine two challenges into one card.

I have to admit, I am not in love with this card.  I LIKE it, but I'm not in LOVE with it.  Maybe it's because I wouldn't have chosen these colors to go together on my own, but that's why it is called a CHALLENGE I guess!  I really like the wreath, but again, I feel like it is missing something.  OR maybe it's the sentiment inside the wreath.  It feels off center to me.  I DON'T KNOW!!

BUT I don't HATE the card...which is why I am posting it!  LOL  I went to a LOT of trouble cutting out the wreath and adhering all the leaves onto it, SO I might as well use it!  The colors chosen for the CTMH Color Dare remind me of fall, which is why I chose to use it.  I guess the more I look at it, I do like the way it turned out....

ANYHOO The colors in the dare are: Pear, Pomegranate, Sorbet, Black, White Daisy and Gold.  I used the Confetti Embossing folder for the White Daisy background.  The gold strip is Gold Glitter Paper and the wreath is from the Flower Market Cricut Bundle.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Hope this inspires you to "kill two birds with one stone" too!!  Well, don't literally kill two birds with one stone, unless you are talented like that!!  Then go for it if you are!!  LOL

Happy Scrapping and Stamping!!

Jen

Stunning card! The leaves on the wreath are fabulous and I love how you added the sequins. Thank you for inspiring us at Color My Heart Challenge Blog.

Love that you combined both the challenges and were right on with both. Love the distressing and embossing and the wreath is very pretty with all the diecuts...very pretty card. Thanks for joining us at Color Dare this week, and hope you come back on Friday for the next great color challenge.

I think it's a great card...I have moments of I like this, but don't love it. It fits the challenges beautifully and I really like the texture from the embossing.
Thanks for playing at the Color My Heart Color Dare.

I'm glad you attempted the challenge even though the colors aren't what you would have picked. I've had the same problems myself from time to time, but I often find nice surprises when I do. I think your card is lovely. I hope it will grow on you. Thanks for taking a Color Dare!
